Is it right for you?

Peace of mind for you and your family

A great fit if

  • You are roughly 50 to 85 years old
  • You want to cover your funeral and final bills
  • You don't want your children to pay out of pocket
  • Health issues have made other coverage hard to get

Maybe not the best fit if

  • You are younger and need large coverage to protect your income. Look at Term Life.
  • You want to protect retirement savings or create income. Look at Annuities.
How it works

Simple coverage, simple process

No exam, no needles. Just a few health questions, often answered over the phone.

1

Answer a few questions

Approval is based on simple health questions. Many people get a decision the same day, sometimes in minutes.

2

Choose your amount

Coverage typically ranges from about $5,000 to $40,000, enough to cover a funeral and leave a little extra.

3

Lock your rate for life

Your premium never goes up and your coverage never expires as long as premiums are paid.

4

Your family is paid directly

The benefit goes to your beneficiary, who can use it for the funeral, bills, or anything else they need.

Questions

Common questions

Can I qualify with health problems?

Often, yes. Many carriers accept common conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart issues. For more serious conditions there are guaranteed acceptance plans.

Is there a waiting period?

If you qualify for a level benefit plan, your full coverage starts on day one. Graded and guaranteed acceptance plans usually limit the payout for natural causes during the first 2 or 3 years.

How much does a funeral cost?

A traditional funeral with burial commonly costs $8,000 to $10,000 or more once you add the plot, headstone, and other fees. Cremation usually costs less.

Will my rate ever go up?

No. Final expense premiums are fixed for life and the coverage does not decrease with age.
